The Academy of Management is a leading professional association for scholars dedicated to creating and disseminating knowledge about management and organizations.

Management is defined broadly to encompass all processes, structures, and behaviors that are related to the work of organizations, as well as the dynamics of industries, economies, cultures, and other environmental forces that affect organizations and their employees.

Our 15807 members from 95 nations are scholars at colleges, universities, and research institutions, as well as practitioners with scholarly interests from business, government, and not-for-profit organizations.

The Academy's 21 professional divisions and three interest groups promote excellence in the established management disciplines that they represent. Affiliated and associated academies, both U.S-based and international, promote the exchange of ideas and provide collaborative opportunities for colleagues.

The TIM Division encourages interdisciplinary scholarship and dialogue on the management of innovation and technological change from a variety of perspectives, including strategic, managerial, behavioral, and operational issues.
